The baddest man on the planet....Joe's the man. great guy, great athlete, great perspective--were ready for him to take home some golds.....
I wonder who he will wrestle for when he comes back. I heard NYAC dropped him and if I were him I would not go back to them PRIDE baby. He is an awesome guy I wish him the best
I agree with Joe that wrestling probably is tougher physically than MMA. One match compared to five. I remember working out with an MMA guy in our college room. I remember him saying that wrestling was harder than fighting. He said that he could take a punch but when we would wrestle hard it would wear him out and he would feel like quiting.
yeah, i also worked out with joe last year at apex. Really funny guy and an absolutely incredible wrestler. I learned enough in a couple hours to keep me busy for a year.
I worked out with Joe last year at Apex, in Nj. Very down to earth guy, very smart, showed me a lot of great technique. Its cool to see him training with and being cornered by the Apex Coaches.
This could be a fight for the ages.... Cliff "Freddy" Fretwell vs "Iron" Mike Krause... 3 rounds of mma action to determine the PureFight champion of the world... Let me get my camera and Cliff, would you mind announcing while you 2 fight?
Cliff! You missed the real point! Joe said hes learning the top techniques so there is no learning curve and he wont have to break any bad habits!!!! Bring the heat Joe!!! Cliff Meet me in the parking lot...rd three...
I like his approach and how he pointed out some people are a little more hype than good. Although there haven't been too many paper champs on these larger shows. Maybe medium to smaller shows. I think the problem with some of these guys looking like hype are just guys that have been good for a long time and then the rest of the weigh class bridges the gap like Liddell. he was legit as they come but got older and better guys came along hungrier.
Six months after he began his mma training Joe Warren beat Kid Yamamoto and is now ready for more. Joe has won just about every wrestling tournament there is such as World Championships, World Cup, PanAm Games, etc. The only one he hasn't won is the Olympics which he plans on doing in 2012. In the meantime he plans on going back to Japan and winning himself the Dream championship belt with 2 more wins. July 8, 2009
