BEN HENDERSON SUBMITS JAMIE VARNER!!!! And it was a FAST tap... and then Varner goes on to cry about him wanting to fight and Ben wanting to grapple... it's mma my friend and you can use whatever style you want, that's why mma is so great. |

Varner is gonna ko Benderson, the way I see it both guys are pretty good wrestlers which should be neutralized... Jamie Varner is a better striker and will be able to defend the takedown, making it a stand up fight and he will be Bendo to sleeo. |

Varner is going to loose because he looks like a conehead. Anyone with a conehead hair cut needs, and I repeat, needs to loose. The loss will bring him back to reality, he thinks he's top 5 in the UFC?!? |

Without thinking I would say Varner and Faber both win... but it might not be that simple. I thought that Cerrone was gonna wreck Henderson and Ben definitely surprised me. As for Assuncao, this guy is legit and the real deal, Urijah is gonna have his hands full and I feel that either fight could go either way but I am gonna say that Varner beats Henderson and Assuncao beats Faber |

So here we are nearing WEC 46 in Sacramento, CA for what looks to be an exciting card of action. The main event should be interesting with Jamie Varner taking on Ben Henderson to unify the WEC lightweight belt. This will be Varners first fight in just about a year since he was injured against Donald Cerrone. Ben Henderson has been slowly creeping up the WEC ladder and earned this fight with a victory over Cowboy in Ocotber. Of course another big fight is Urijah Faber vs Raphael Assuncao for a probable shot at featherweight champ Jose Aldo this spring or summer. We all know Urijah is a solid fighter but Assuncao is someone who we could really see push the California kid and looks like a very evenly matched fight. Former featherweight Champ Mike Brown returns to action on this card as he takes on Anthony Morrison. Take a look at the entire card below and let's hear your thoughts.
Main Card (On tv):
Lightweight- Jamie Varner vs. Ben Henderson- TITLE FIGHT
Featherweight- Urijah Faber vs Raphael Assuncao
Lightweight- Dave Jensen vs Dave Sharolus
Featherweight- Mike Brown vs Anthony Morrison
Featherweight- Mackens Semerizer vs Deividas Taurosevicius
Undercard:
Bantamweight- Charlie Valencia vs Akitoshi Tamura
Bantamweight- Wagnney Fabiano vs Clint Godfrey
Featherweight- Mark Hominick vs Brian Caraway
Bantamweight- Eddie Wineland vs George Roop
Bantamweight- Coty Wheeler vs Will Campuzano
