Couture most definitely did not get lucky, but it's not like it was a genius plan, I mean come on, what else was he going to do? Stand there and trade, or course not. If he shoots a double leg he eats an uppercut. Low single leg takedown just makes sense |

Couture got lucky, he fought an old boxer who is over the hill and out of shape. I would like to see a legit boxer with at least some skills come into mma and see what they can do. |

I don't think Askren was trying to shoot a low single but just ended up down there on the ankle, which did end up working out for him in the end. It was in his fight against Dan Hornbuckle in the Bellator welterweight finals. |

I can't remember what fight but BEN ASKREN SHOT a low single IN BELATOR and took some punishment to get the guy down |

Randy Couture came into his fight against James Toney with a very smart gameplan an one you do not see very often. Come out and shoot a low single. In fact I don't think I have ever seen anyone shoot a low single ever in mma, but the Natural pulled it off beautifully. James Toney had no clue what hit him and he fell to the ground immediately and awkwardly, and once he hit the ground we all knew it was over. This probably had a lot to do with Toney have zero wrestling background, but that's his fault for talking all that smack and trying to come into mma with just his boxing background. It will be interesting to see if any other boxers try to make the transition over into mma or if what they saw on Saturday night scares them a little bit and they finally realize that mma is the most complete for of sport fighting that there is.
