Rashad was a standout wrestler at Michigan State. He began fighting a couple years after college and saw success. In season 2 of The Ultimate Fighter Rashad won the show at heavyweight giving him the UFC contract. The biggest win of his career is when he knocked out the knock out expert in Chuck Liddell during their UFC 88 light heavyweight bout.
