Ryan is Mo Lawal's coach and he has been working with Mo on mma since he stopped wrestling at the end of the summer. He feels that in another 6-8 months Mo will be a solid striker because he can pick things up quickly, is a great athlete and has great coaches. The plan is to have 5 fights in 2009 in Japan where he is very well liked the fans out there. Ryan wrestled at Arizona State with Dan Henderson and has been involved in mma since then. Ryan learns new things everyday from observations and asking questions. He feels that as mma continues to evolve we will start to see better athletes getting involved in the sport. It is important to learn things from all the different combat sports that are relative to mma. For now Mo is happy competing in Japan and fighting in the states is a possibility but not right now.

Well I don't know I'd go that far but the fact is Ryan was nothing more than a tag along friend for years who happened to be a "non" practicing chiro. Because he could adjust a few necks and knew some guys from college, he was allowed to hang out. No basicall because of that he fancies himself as some sort of MMA trainer by association. To bad MO doesn't know any better. There is a bigger reason why a guy that was part of team quest is no longer part of team quest. I've never met Ryan personally and I'm sure he's a nice guy but as an industry insider these are the facts. |
