Well if Rocky is a Blue belt he did really well against Chris. I do believe Chris did win though. Chris should of never took this fight, he fought the weekend before and it went the distance then he took this fight on 4 day notice and didn't train for a 5 round fight. It was a good fight, both fighters gave it their all. Hopefully we'll get to see these two go at it again at a later date. |

Although Chris did take him down, he never kept him down. If you take someone down, you do so with the intent to submit or knockout. Chris did neither, not even close. Rocky got up every time he took him down. I know takedowns are done for points. Also for Chris being a black belt in Jiu- jitsu, I expected more out of his ground game. Rocky is a blue belt I believe. That is like 3 belts away from a black I think. Chris is a great fighter no doubt, I wouldn't want to fight him. Rocky is a great fighter also . I feel that heart and experience won him that fight. Great going Rocky!! |

I could not believe the "Judges" decision. I guess Rocky's fans from Conroe affected the judges vote. What's up with that? |

Rocky does have a lot of heart and being there I watched him get knocked down, but he didnt stay down and the punches he threw were clean hits. Being from Conroe made it all the better that he won. His head did split open, but like he said, If you are going to take someone down it is either to make him submit or knock out and obviously Manuel didnt know that. |

I have to agree with elgato on this one. I was at the fights last night and though Rocky showed tremendous heart and a 'never say die' attidtude, I think Manuel won the fight rather easily. He won the first three rounds and though Rocky did a bit of damage in the second, he was still taken down 4 times in 1 round. I had Rocky winning the fourth but that was it. Manuel had plenty of opportunities to finish that fight and didn't. He let it go to the judges. Still, even the most novice of judges should have been able to score that fight. Also, Manuel left that fight with hardly a scratch on him, Rocky looked pretty beat down. Props to Rocky. He gutted it out and got that fight to go to a decision where anything can happen. Rocky is a tough guy and I have nothing but respect for him. Still, like elgato says, I think Manuel got robbed. |

It has nothing to do with him not being a good fighter, Layla. No question he has a ton of heart. He took a beating and never quit. Good for him and all the locals pulling for him that they GAVE him the decision. But really, a UNANIMOUS DECISION? Maybe I was watching a different fight... meow |

o dont be a hater. it has nothing to do with him being from conroe. what a sore loser. rocky has always been a good fighter since we were young. i have an idea, why dont you get your gato ass in the ring then we will see whoo wins. lol!!! meow meow!! |

What a rip off. Chris Manuel got robbed. Unanimous decision? Probably no coincidence that Rocky is from Conroe. It just makes local promotions look like a joke. |
