I have to say it did suck standing in the ring waiting for the clean up. I hate losing my sweat before the fight. Now that's what I like to hear, a warrior that can be humble in victory is indeed an asset to the sport. I teach boxing at maddog gym but that does not hinder my ability to appreciate other fighters or gyms, I hope more people adopt Paul reihner's perspective to the game. You Go Boy!!!! I am a fan of Joe as well. |

Both fighter stood in the ring for 5 min because of the clean up, do you think it affected one fighter over the other? I really don't. How can one fighter be assisted by standing and waiting and the other be hampered?I agree with you in that they were both exposed to the same conditions true, but to say that psychologically both fighters would respond to the circumstances the same way, is comparable to saying all people are the same, Do you think all people are the same? I really don't. and also it should be considered that this was his first mma competition, so as to be expected I'm certain he was already anxious when he walked to the cage, and I know from my own experiences pre fight anxiety can steal your strength, stamina, fight plan, and co-ordination, so yeah, I guess we can say one warrior can be assisted by the same conditions that hamper his opponent, i'm not diminishing paul rehniers victory by any means though, |

don't take this as accurate depiction of Paul Lew's fight game, he is a much better fighter than he was able to demonstrate on this night, I don't mean to take anything away from Reihner" who did what he was suposed to", but he was assisted be the anticlimax of 5min of standing in the ring after entering, and then starting cold on a wet mat. it won't happen again though. |
