Arizona Combat Sports is a top mixed martial arts gym where a number of UFC and WEC fighters train. TUF 8 light heavyweight champion Ryan Bader is one of many former Arizona State University wrestlers who trains at this gym. C.B. Dollaway is another former ASU wrestler who trains at AZCS, Dollaway was also a cast member of TUF 7 where is was a finalist, he currently is fighting in the UFC. Aaron Simpson was coaching at ASU when Bader and Dollaway were both wrestlers at the school and he is now training at AZCS, he had one fight in the WEC which he won by KO in :14 and he is now going to be fighting in the UFC in April along with 3 of his teammates. Carlos Condit is a recent addition to the gym. Condit came joined the gym while he was the WEC champion and he has since been brought over into the UFC where he will also be fighting in April. Steve Steinbeiss will join Bader, Simpson and Condit on the UFC card April 1st as he will be making his UFC debut as well. With all these great fighters mentioned we haven't even talked about WEC lightweight champ Jamie Varner who has been training at AZCS for quite some time. He won his last fight over Donald Ceronne after an accidental illegal knee hit Varner in the face while he was on his knees. Varner had to have surgery on his hand as well as breaking a bone in his foot. Trevor Lally owns the gym and trains the fighters. He prides himself in his gym building fighters rather than just having good fighters join their team.
