It's amazing this guy has no amateur wrestling background. However, the likelihood of him making the Canadian team is unlikely. The odds of qualifying for the Olympics are astronomical. The chances of medaling are impossible. Bowling was a good amateur wrestler, but I doubt he's taking down any world class wrestlers.Bowling was a great wrestler, I know I beat him on multiple occasions. (sorry Leister) I think it is great he is able to use his wrestling to further himself and it is awesome he gets the chance to train fighters of this caliber. It looks like to me they using this practice to work on technique and are not really going live. but unlike some of u i am okay with saying i dont know cause i wasnt there i just watched the vid! sorry i wasnt trying to bash anyone i just get tired of the unneeded judgmental comments. |

Wow, I can't believe people are arguing over GSP's wrestling skills. Sure he's probably not the best at technique but watch his fight against Kos, ya know where he dominated him on takedowns. Pure wrestling isn't his game and mma is...Mixed Martial Arts, not wrestling. I really think that had he started wrestling early in his life he could of been a world class wrestler and I still think he can now, but he would have to really dedicate himself to wrestling and stop training mma for awhile. |
