Man where do i start! I took a week off from coaching and I got a chance to head down to Coconut Creek, FL to train at ATT's Headquarters. I lucked up and pretty much everyone was in town. I got a chance to roll, box, or drill with some of the worlds best. I'll try to nutshell this as best i can. My trip started Sunday. I got into town and hung out with an old teammate JP Reese and just kicked back. Monday i went to a local wrestling practice between two rival HS teams (Gibbon and St. Thomas). Finally, finally, FINALLY I got to join the pro ranks! Its been a long time coming. I've had 5 shows cancel, multiple opponents pull out and missed making TUF9 by a chin hair ( not Ben's either). But God is a faithful God, and the saying " Things Happen for a Reason" is not cliché! I was able to make my pro debut in Columbia where my collegiate wrestling, amateur MMA, and now my pro career all started. Got to debut with my friend/former teammate Ben " The Chin" Askren, first jits instructor Kiko, and big brother Din. Not to mention all m...

Day 4 October 27, 2008 TUF9 Tryout I woke up like 6am to get on the road. The tryout’s registration started at 9am. I knew it would be crazy, so I wanted to get there early. I arrived at like 8am. It was already like 200 people there. The producer told me that she was expecting like 300, and they would cut it down to 50 people by the end. When I saw the line I knew that it was going to be well over 500. I saw my friend and teammate Din Thomas talking to some of his fans. I went up to say what’s up, and to see how the process was goi...
