Streaming Live Workout with #1 UFC middleweight contender Chael Sonnen
Portland, Oregon- On Tuesday July 20 at 9:30am PST | 12:30 Est | 11:30 CST as part of the Purefight LIVE Summer Series, fans can watch a streaming live broadcast of a a workout with the #1 contender for the UFC middleweight title, Chael Sonnen on Purefight.
Purefight is breaking new ground in providing free live streaming videos of training sessions with some of the best fighters in the world. Last week Purefight was in New Jersey and traveled with UFC lightweight champ Frankie Edgar to NYC and streamed a live muay thai workout from Phil Nurse's gym. That stream was picked up by Flowrestling.com, Sicfit.com, and NJWrestlingtournaments.com. The stream with Chael Sonnen on Tuesday has already been picked up by those websites as well as by victoryfighter.com, leftcoastwrestling.com and michigangrappler.com and a dozen more sites bringing the total viewership potential to 3,450,000.
Chael Sonnen is attempting to do something that nobody else in the UFC has been able to do: Beat Anderson Silva. Even since before it was announced that Chael would fight the current champ he had already started publicly antagonizing him and has since mounted an all-out verbal assault on Silva. The outspoken republican politician from Oregon has delivered statements such as, "I'm going to throw him on his back and beat a hole in his face", and he makes no secret of his game plan which is to use his wrestling to take Silva down and beat him up on the ground. He respects Silva's boxing skills and once said about himself, "If Chael Sonnen cannot get it to the floor, Chael Sonnen gets his ass kicked", but follows with, "I've got two national championship plaques on my wall that say I can take him down. I've got a silver medal from the world championships in 2001 that says he can't stop me from taking him down."
Chael is known for his wrestling abilities and hard working constant pressure style of fighting. Next Tuesday get an upclose and personal look at Chael Sonnen as he continues his training for this much anticipated UFC middleweight title fight on August 7 at UFC 117 from Oakland, CA.
